Getting to Gigantes Island

Islas de Gigantes is located in the Municipality of Carles in the Province of Iloilo. The town of Carles in the far north of mainland Iloilo is home to the island of Gigantes.

There are direct flights available to Roxas (Capiz), Iloilo, Caticlan and Kalibo from Luzon (Manila) and/or Mindanao.

Iloilo International Airport (in Iloilo City) and Kalibo International Airport (in Kalibo, Aklan) are approximately 143 kilometers away from the Port of Bancal, the gateway to Gigantes island.

There are two domestic airports (with regular commercial flights) that serve the tourist to Gigantes: Godofredo P. Ramos Airport (commonly referred to as Caticlan/Boracay Airport) in Caticlan and Roxas City Airport in Roxas City, Capiz.

Boracay Airport is about 207 kilometers away from Port of Bancal in Carles, Iloilo, while Roxas City Airport is about 77 kilometers away.

Roxas City Airport is the nearest airport to Gigantes Island

You can take a direct flight with Philippine Airlines or Cebu Pacific to the Visayas Region where Gigantes Island belongs.

For international tourists, Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Metro Manila offers several flights to the said domestic and international airports regularly.

Once you already landed in any of the airports discussed, you should make your way to either the Bancal port (which will take you Gigantes Norte island in 1.5 hours) or the Estancia port (2 hours to Gigantes island). Due to its proximity to the island of Gigantes, the port of Bancal is the most convenient departure point.
